Level 3 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (Motor Vehicle)

Train to work as a service technician working on light vehicles.

You will learn both the theory and practical aspects of how to work with cars including:

• Diagnosis and rectification of engine and component faults
• Chassis system faults
• Auxiliary equipment electrical faults
• Health and safety in the workplace

You will be assessed by practical and written tasks and externally set examinations. Supported work experience will be arranged with your tutor.

Progress in to advanced Apprenticeship or employment.

Entry requirements

You will need to have achieved Level 2 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair and English and maths at GCSE Grades A*-C/9-4, or functional skills Level 2.

You should have an enthusiasm for Motor Vehicle and a desire for a career in the industry.
