Open Event FAQs

Who is an open event for?

Our open events are for everyone, particularly:

Years 9, 10 and 11.
Students looking to go to University.
Parents and guardian of students.
Anyone looking to develop their skills.
Anyone looking to change career.

After checking you in at the front desk, we’ll ask you what subject area you’re interested in. We’ll point you in the direction of your tutors and you’ll be able to ask them all your questions. There may be a queue for some of our busiest areas, such as A-Levels, but don’t worry, you will get your opportunity! Feel free to have a wander around to see what other subjects you can study here. You never know, you might find another course you’re interested in! You’ll get the chance to have a look at some of the facilities you’ll be able to use when you study here. If you’re all set and know what course you want to do, you can apply there and then. If you need some more time, that’s absolutely fine! You can chat with our career’s advisors and admissions team to help you make your decision. If you’re still not sure, then that’s OK too. Head home, have a think about it and let us know! We’re here for you whenever you need us.

Of course! You can visit us during all of our open events.

There is no pressure to apply on the day.

Please email to let us know.

Although there’s not a limit, we suggest bringing a maximum of 5 guests. You can bring anyone you want to.

Further Education courses are for those aged 16+ and depending on what GCSEs you received, you will be studying either a Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3 (equivalent to A-Levels) course. Higher Education courses are for those who are looking to study at University-level (for ages 18+).

Registration has now closed for this event. You can still attend the event if you didn't get to register, we will just need to take a few details from you when you arrive.
