The Heat Is On

Ashford College were delighted to welcome back Tabasco Brand’s corporate chef, Gary Evans, who visited recently to deliver an inspirational workshop to our Level 2 Professional Cookery students on how to cook using the brand’s range of sauces.

With Gary’s guidance, the students produced some delicious dishes, including Baja style fish tacos with chipotle mayo, spiced meatball marinara, Korean fried chicken, upside-down spiced berry cheesecake, butternut squash soup with bacon and chipotle, and Lamington cakes.

Two students, Harriet Saint and Caitlin Guthrie, were selected by Gary as performing outstandingly to the brief given on the day, and each was presented with a bottle of rare limited edition Tabasco Diamond Reserve 150th Anniversary Hot Sauce.
